Did you know that April was Move More Month? To celebrate, our Culture Committee held a contest led by Jacqueline Byrnes for the most steps taken throughout the month. The competition was hot until the very end, and everyone who participated successfully managed to "move more" than they did last month!
Congratulations to our winners! Coming in 1st place was Weronika Bartnik with a total of 472,965 steps, followed by Mackenzie Zipfel in 2nd place with 451,297 steps, followed by Shelby Collison in 3rd place with 398,360 steps.
We also want to congratulate our most improved winners who really stepped up their game from the previous month! Weronika Bartnik once again led this category with a 7.9% improvement, followed by a tie between Lori DiGirolamo and Gabrielle Deschaine with a 3.4% increase. All of our winners were awarded prizes for their efforts: including a gift card for a massage, an emotional support water bottle, wireless headphones, and more!
"I don't have that many steps, but my average has improved from March to April. I feel great and knocked off 9 pounds!"
"Honestly, [my step count] was so low when I started because I would go to the gym after work and do strength training. Now I do both, and it's been amazing. I have so much more energy now!"
"I feel better than last month for sure. While I've always exercised, COVID threw me off my routine and my exercise schedule became inconsistent. I am now back into my routine and will keep this up...not so much the steps, but my cardio/weight routine. My eating always becomes cleaner when I'm in my zone as well...so this has been an incredibly valuable challenge for me. Thank you all for participating and for the support and accountability."
Thank you to Jacqueline Byrnes for leading the challenge and keeping track of the numbers, and congratulations again to all of our winners and everyone who participated. We can't wait to see what the Culture Committee has in store next!
