Volunteer opportunities were severely limited during the COVID pandemic. Many non-profits saw a dramatic decrease in online giving and many of the services that were traditionally performed by community volunteers were relegated back to already overwhelmed staff members.
At Intrinsic Digital, caring for our community is as important to us as the care we show our clients and each other. So we decided to get creative and reach out to a Sarah's House with a pandemic safe idea.
The challenge: Social distancing restrictions wouldn't allow for us to volunteer within the buildings or interact with guests. Also, Intrinsic Digital employees live in multiple states and not all felt comfortable meeting in person.
The solution: Everyone enjoys a beautiful garden and the guests at Sarah's House are no different. We wanted to provide them some extra beauty after a long winter. So we contacted Paul Thompson at Mo Better Lawns who generously donated flowers and mulch (so much mulch!). We then set up a virtual video session with the remaining staff so they could see before and after pictures.
