As we wrap up the year and head into a new one, it feels especially fitting to spotlight a Core Value Award that reminds us to pause, breathe, and keep things in perspective. In a fast-moving, remote-first environment, staying grounded isn’t always easy, but it’s essential to how we show up for one another. That’s why each month, we take time to recognize teammates who bring our Core Values to life in small, everyday moments.
It’s a reminder that our values live in how we treat each other when no one’s watching.
Together, they shape how we collaborate, support one another, and navigate both challenges and wins as a remote team.
At Intrinsic, we define Caring as:
“Showing compassion, kindness, and genuine care for others. Supporting our teammates, listening actively, and investing in the well-being and success of the people around us.”
Our Caring Core Value Award went to Phil Sewall! While Phil serves as our CMO, what stood out in the nominations wasn’t his title; it was his presence. Phil consistently shows up alongside the team, rolls up his sleeves, removes obstacles, and leads with empathy. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to both the work and the people behind it, creating an environment built on trust, support, and openness.
Neutralevity isn’t about minimizing challenges. It’s about creating space to breathe, reset, and move forward with clarity instead of stress; something that becomes even more important in a remote-first environment.
“He has an incredible ability to remain calm in the midst of chaos, guiding others with patience and perspective. His gentle reminder ‘First: Take a breath. Second: Take another breath.’ has become a mantra that helped me reset when stress threatens to overwhelm.”
"Andrew has the best sense of humor - the epidemy of Neutralevity!"
"Andrew is always quick with an amusing come back for any situation. Appreciate his humor."
"Andrew has been the King of neutralevity since the day he started!"
"Andrew has blown a fresh breath of fresh/fun air into his own team and the rest of the Org. He is literally the fastest to respond anytime he is requested or to just jump in and be an asset. While he does this, it is always with quick-witted humor, which makes our sometimes remedial tasks more enjoyable in the day-to-day. Kudos to Andrew, he's giving me a run for my money in this "department"!!!"
Andrew, your calm presence, steady perspective, and ability to bring levity without dismissing the moment truly embody what Neutralevity stands for. You help the team pause, breathe, and move forward with clarity. We are all thankful for you!
