Cultivating Connection in a Remote World: How Our 5 Core Values Enhance Company Culture

Juli Loomis

Keeping a social, healthy, and connected culture in a remote environment can be difficult, but we’ve been lucky to think of ways to work around these challenges and harness a positive environment with thriving work relationships.

How is this possible?

One of the many ways we encourage a healthy culture is by implementing five key Core Values for Intrinsic Digital that we use as a guiding force in our internal interactions and our business with our clients: Accountability, Authenticity, Caring, Surprise & Delight, X-Ray Vision and Neutralevity.

Each month we have our team members anonymously nominate their colleagues who represented these Core Values and award a small token to winners.

Last month, we were due to nominate the person in our company who best represented the Core Value: X-Ray Vision.

We set the expectation for X-Ray Vision to mean: "We actively look for opportunities to deliver unexpected value and exceed expectations with everyone we work with."

Our winner for X-Ray Vision was Will Scrivener!

Will Scrivener, our Operations Coordinator, is the backbone of our team, orchestrating the flow of our internal projects with precision and finesse. With an eye for detail and a knack for organization, Will ensures that every task, from scheduling meetings to coordinating logistics, is executed perfectly.

Will possesses a rare blend of adaptability and resourcefulness. He navigates through obstacles well, always finding innovative solutions to keep our operations running smoothly. His ability to juggle multiple responsibilities without breaking a sweat is nothing short of impressive, making him an invaluable asset to our team.

See what our team members had to say about Kate in their nomination submissions:

"Will sniffs out problems and offers solutions before they become issues.  His analytical skills are the x-ray vision glasses every company needs to be successful.."

"Will navigates through problems and roadblocks like a police dog on a raid. This core value belongs to him."

"Will has the singular ability to both identify potential problems before they arise AND show up with a recommended solution every time. His x-ray vision is greatly appreciated."

April's core value is Neutralevity.  "We embrace neutrality on social causes and rely on levity to create an environment where we never take ourselves too seriously."
