Intrinsic Beyond Borders: How Our Team Works, Lives, and Thrives from Anywhere

Radha Atianzar

Welcome to Intrinsic Beyond Borders, a new blog series celebrating the people who make remote work at Intrinsic Digital so unique. Each edition will spotlight a teammate from across the map and explore how they work, create, and thrive from wherever they call home. From morning rituals and workspace quirks to the moments that make remote life meaningful, these stories give a closer look at the rhythms, personalities, and passions that shape our team.

Meet MK Permejo!

In this first edition of Intrinsic Beyond Borders, we’re heading to Quezon City, Manila, Philippines, where MK Permejo, one of our go-getter teammates from the Client Success team, shares a glimpse into her remote-work life. From slow mornings and gym sessions to finding balance in her own brand of “organized chaos,” MK reminds us that working from anywhere can be equal parts intentional and joyful.

Finding Balance in the Morning

MK likes to start her mornings mindfully. “I try very hard not to pick up my phone as soon as I open my eyes,” she shares. Instead, she spends her first few hours focused on finishing her current read; a peaceful ritual before the day begins.

Once she’s had breakfast and washed up, she heads to the gym. Starting the day with a bit of quiet and movement helps her find focus and momentum. “I resist picking up my phone for the first three hours of the day so I can really focus” she adds. It’s a simple habit that keeps her grounded, refreshed, and ready to take on whatever’s ahead.

How MK Stays Organized

When it’s time to get started, MK keeps things simple but structured. Her go-to tool? An Intrinsic Digital notebook, where she outlines her priorities for the day.

“Using my Intrinsic Digital notebook from the swag store, I write down my priorities for the day and break that down in my daily log or Asana project,” she explains. This practice keeps her focused and intentional, giving her a clear picture of what needs to get done, and the small wins along the way.

The Perks of Remote Life

For MK, remote work offers something she doesn’t take for granted: freedom. “The best part is really not having to line up in a grueling commute,” she says. The time she saves from avoiding traffic now goes into personal things that matter more to her.

She also appreciates how remote life allows her to recharge. “I’m able to preserve my social battery so I can put my best foot forward when interacting with the team.” It’s that balance between autonomy and connection that helps her thrive in a remote setup.

Looking Forward to What’s Next

MK is also looking forward to what’s ahead, especially when it comes to innovation. “The official rollout of AI Rex!” she notes excitedly, when asked what upcoming project she’s most thrilled about.

With tools like AI Rex on the horizon, she’s eager to see how they’ll empower the team to work smarter and continue serving clients even better.

Inside the Workspace: Organized Chaos

Ask MK about her workspace, and she’ll tell you it’s “chaotically organized.

It seems like a mess to another person’s eyes but to me, everything is where it should be” she shares. It’s a setup that perfectly captures her personality: creative, adaptive, and comfortable in her own flow.

What Remote Work at Intrinsic Feels Like

For MK, the best part of working at Intrinsic is the people. “Remote work at Intrinsic is the best! I feel supported, and I genuinely love my coworkers, so it’s easy to do a good job and be of service to others.

That sense of support and camaraderie fuels her day-to-day, reminding her that even though the team works across time zones, they’re all moving forward together.

From her cozy corner in Quezon City, Philippines, MK is a shining example of how strong connections and great culture can thrive beyond borders.
