I spent two short years studying at Christendom College – a small, Catholic liberal arts school in Virginia. The people and learning environment quickly set the foundation of faith and free thinking that I carry with me today, and not a moment too soon either! Back-to-back concussions in Ruby and Soccer left me sidelined at home. Unable (or perhaps unwilling) to continue, I got an early start to my career.
Through a combination of luck, grit, and an unhealthy habit of saying "yes" to everyone, I gained experience in and exposure to all aspects of an organization’s growth over 6+ years – working behind the scenes in “corporate” to support a growing number of nationally recognized entertainment districts.
Like most of the world in the not-so-distant past, I had the opportunity to re-evaluate my priorities. And I found myself drawn towards a slower pace of life. Farm life to be exact! With this change in direction, I not only witnessed the revitalization and expansion of a local farm’s retail operations; I developed a great appreciation for regenerative farming and a deeper understanding of community.
Fast forward to the beginning of 2023 and I am catching up with a friend over coffee, hearing about his startup and trying to wrap my head around geofencing. The passion and vision for his company were contagious and, as they say, the rest is history!
